Respite is designed to give carers a much-needed break for a limited period of time in order to allow them to attend an activity or simply relax. Blairlogie over the last 12 months has been extremely busy in this area, providing respite weekend stays almost every second weekend. These weekend stays not only provides a much-needed break to the families, but also promote socialising and community access opportunities. This weekend usually comprises:dinner at a restaurant one night, an activity of interest outing on the Saturday, and some daily living skills training by doing cooking and housekeeping. Other Respite opportunities during the year included longer stays, where the participants would stay over and join in the fun of the holiday program activities during the day.

We offer short term accommodation options at Cranbourne and Doveton.  You can stay in a self-contained studio apartment with staff support tailored to meet your individual needs. We have two sites in which we offer respite, one of them is Scotts Cottage at 685 North Road which has three bedrooms.

Additionally, the Carramar site, located at 675 North Road, aims to provide respite services to teenagers and features three bedrooms.
